We did it!

A BIG thank you to everyone who helped us with our Bible Readathon.

A special thanks should go to Culverden Evangelical Church for hosting us.

92 readers read from 22 books of the Bible for 24 hours.  A number of people dropped in during the day to listen and eat cake!

We brought together supporters from 9 different churches and our readers included families, youth groups, students, older folk.

We have raised over £1600 to date all of which will go to supporting our work in local schools.  Thanks to everyone who has so generously donated money.  Please pray that God will help us in our work.

What is the Crossteach Bible Readathon?

This year is the 400th anniversary of the publication of the King James Bible – a translation that has had a mammoth impact on Britain, its history, literature, life and culture.

The translation was largely based on the work of William Tyndale whose desire was to make the Bible accessible to all – even the ploughboys.

This year is also the tenth anniversary of Crossteach, a Christian charity working in schools in West Kent, that also seeks to make the Bible accessible to all.

To celebrate both events we would like to invite you to take part in a 24 hour Bible Readathon. This will start at 7pm on Friday 20 May and will finish 24 hours later!

It will take place at Culverden Evangelical Church, St John’s Road, Tunbridge Wells.
